Why electricians lose jobs to missed calls
Sparkies spend the day in places where answering the phone isn't an option, and the calls coming in range from urgent to a nice-to-have quote. Each one needs a different answer.
Live work, no free hands
In a ceiling cavity, on a ladder or working at a switchboard, you shouldn't stop to grab your phone.
Power outs feel urgent
When half the house goes dark, people want someone now. They keep calling electricians until one answers.
Quotes need a visit
Heat pumps, rewires and switchboard upgrades need a site visit before you can price them. Booking that visit is the job.
Commercial clients expect a reply
A shop or office with a fault wants to know you're on it, and they'll go elsewhere if nobody responds.
What a missed call costs an electrician
A fault-finding call-out today can turn into a switchboard upgrade or a heat pump install next month. A missed call loses both.
The starting numbers are an example for a small electrical business, not survey data. Change them to match yours.

What your customer sees
A message from your business that asks the right questions to work out what's going on, then books a time. If the customer mentions anything that sounds dangerous, like a burning smell or sparking, Conversiq flags it to you straight away.
How it fits the way you work
Safety questions first
You choose the questions it asks before anything else, and which answers mean it should stop and page you.
Call-outs and fixed prices
It quotes your call-out fee and any fixed-price jobs from your list, and says when labour is extra.
Quote visits
For heat pumps, rewires and upgrades, it collects the details and books a site visit with you.
After hours
Urgent faults come to you or whoever's on call. Everything else is booked for the next working day.
Your job software
Integrations with ServiceM8, Tradify, Fergus and AroFlo are on our roadmap. Until then, every booking lands on your phone with the customer's details, ready to enter.
Your own number
Keep the number on your van and website. Only missed calls divert.
Questions electricians ask
Will it give electrical advice?
No. It asks the triage questions you set and passes anything that sounds unsafe to you. It doesn't tell customers to work on their own wiring.
Can it book quote visits as well as call-outs?
Yes. You set which jobs need a visit first, and it books a time for you to go and price them.
What happens with commercial customers?
The same flow, with whatever questions you need, like the business name, site contact and access details.
Can my apprentices or other sparkies get the jobs?
Today alerts go to one nominated mobile and your email. Sharing jobs across a team, each with their own diary, is on our roadmap.
What if the customer doesn't have WhatsApp?
For now, the caller needs WhatsApp installed. SMS as a fallback is on our roadmap.
